Q: Is there a non-refundable deposit to reserve a puppy?
A: Yes, while not required, a $300 dollar reservation deposit is suggested when purchasing a Decker Doodle. Unless a deposit is paid, we will not hold or can not guarantee you will receive a puppy. This deposit is non-refundable and will be deducted from your overall purchase price. We recognize many people want to come look at puppies in person before paying any money. While we do encourage this, we also want to honor customers who are certain of their decision to purchase a Decker Doodle.
There are multiple ways to reserve a Decker Doodle by paying a $300.00 reservation deposit:
1. Cash or Check (To be paid in person or check by mail)
2. Debit/Credit Card (Use paypal link click: "Pay with Debit or Credit Card") - We will also accept Venmo or Square Cash
Please contact us and tell us your name and if you prefer a male or female. You may contact us via call, text, or email (See at bottom of page). You must contact us for our mailing address and keep us informed throughout the process of adopting a puppy from us.
Here are a few exceptions where we will allow a refund:
All before-birth deposits will be refundable in the case of miscarriage/stillbirth, poor veterinary review of your puppy, or if we do not have enough puppies to go around. They will also be transferable to any future/other litter for any reason. All after-birth deposits will be refundable only in the case of a poor veterinary review.
Q: Can we come see a puppy before placing a deposit?
A: Yes! Just text, call, or email us.
Q: Can you guarantee or accurately predicate the personality, temperament, colors, curls, wavy, shagginess or your doodle's coats?
A: Our puppies are F1B, and most of our pups never shed, have curls, and great personalities. But ultimately, No, we cannot guarantee anything with a 100% accuracy, and we do not offer any 100% guarantees regarding your pup's personality, temperament, colors, curls, wavy, shagginess. More details below:
Personality and Temperament: A puppy is a puppy, and they love to play and push the limits of where they live. They will probably be more energetic than you'd like them to be the first year you raise them. This is normal behavior from a puppy because it is a puppy. With that said, we will do our best to observe the puppies in order to gauge their temperaments and personalities for you. Just ask us anytime! Additionally, We will send you videos of all the pups and your pup individually, and we will let you facetime/skype us to see what the pups is like. A lot of dog's temperament and personality is based on how you train and raise them.
Curls, wavy, shagginess: Our Embark DNA test (click here) can tell you a lot regarding this, but it still isn't a guarantee as every dog carries multiple colors and different types of fur types. It most likely the pups of our parents dogs will be in line with what the embark "traits" sections says are the "base coat color."
Q: Do you get your puppies micro-chipped or the dewclaw removed?
A: No, we do not. We do not get them micro-chipped because we like to leave this up to the adopter. There are reports of inflammation around the site of the chip injection, and this creates a very small risk to your dog’s health and well being, principally because inflammation has been linked to the development of cancer. We do not get the dewclaw removed because both of our vets advise against it. They claim the dewclaws are important to a dog health and should not be tampered with. Many times it makes sense to let nature take it course.
Q: Do you sell breeding rights?
A: At this time, we do not sell breeding rights. Our puppies are sold as personal pets, and we want nothing more than to see them grow up in loving families. We are somewhat concerned by how many breeders are popping up with unhealthy practices just to make a buck, and this is a big reason we do not sell breeding rights with our pups. So please stay in touch after you purchase a Decker Doodle and send us pictures of how happy you and your doodle are together.
Q: Do you offer delivery options?
A: Yes, but our options are limited to our individual schedules. We will only deliver our puppies ourselves for safety reasons and to ensure you are happy. Delivery prices vary and can be discussed by contacting us.
Q: Do I need to bring anything when I come to purchase my puppy?
A: No, we will provide you with the necessary supplies for your puppy's first couple of days at home. With that said, we cannot recommend enough how important it is to purchase a dog crate. You can get a dog crate at Walmart, Amazon, or any pet store before or immediately after purchasing your pup. See why you need a crate here.
Q: Will I receive a list of Vaccinations that my puppy has received?
A: Yes, on the day you purchase a Decker Doodle, you will receive your puppy's Vaccination Record that will have listed the two vaccinations your puppy has received as well as the dates of administration. Typically, our puppies receive Neopar and Nobivac Canine 1-DAPPv (Canine Distemper Virus, Adenovirus 2, Parainfluenza Virus, Parvovirus). Also noted on the Vaccination Record will be the de-worming medications your puppy has received to date. This Vaccination Record is designed for you to give to your vet at your puppy's first visit so that the next required vaccinations can be scheduled. Most vets recommend a 12-week and a 16-week vaccination for your puppy's continued health.
